Nemours Children’s Hospital is scheduled to open in 2012 and will have 630,000 square feet. It will have 95 beds on a 60 acre campus and will feature a children’s outpatient specialty clinic, an emergency department and education and research centers. There will be consultative pediatric-wellness and weight management services for children ages 3 to 16 years old. There is a program called BrightStart-the first of its kind in the nation to level the academic playing field for young learners thru reading success. Nemours BrightStart offers a variety of unique services and tools to help communities improve reading outcomes in children. Nemours considers itself the Mayo Clinic for kids. Nemours will address the needs of the whole family with a clinical concierge who’ll coordinate a  variety of family services.

The outpatient specialty clinic, emergency department and education and research centers will offer the best for each child, with consultations for pediatric wellness for children.
